I made it to Dominica. Its a great place, third world country. But as missionaries we've got what we need to live. To answer questions time. There is a senior couple here, The Whites, they are from queens creek arizona and they spoil us alot. Yesterday morning they had us over for breakfast. Pancakes, eggs, fruits, it was the jam. There are the senior couple and also two missionaries in Roseau, the capitol. My comp is Elder Nichols. Hes from Idaho. Hes been out 1 year and 8 months. theres a medical school here and about 50 or so of them are members and there are a couple members from here on the Island but the church is less than two years old here. I live in an apartment and our backyard is beautiful, its like a forest. The apartment is nicer then the place we had in canovanas thats for sure. Im in the city of Portsmouth.Theres no fast food here. We've got to get it all from the grocery store. They have a subway at the university, but normally we cant afford it. We dont have a car or bikes, just the two feet that god gave us. Our chuch building is a big lime green building that the church rents out in the middle of town. Its pretty sweet its got that old fahioned sign that hangs outside of the building. Its awesome. They filmed Pirates of the Carribean 2 here. The scene where they are fighting in the wheel as it rolls down the hill. Thats here. also basically everybody here is a masta fari. That means they look and act like bob marley. He is a God here. They all speak that islander accent here its pretty sweet. We found this guy on saturday, He is golden. Came to church sunday, he quit smoking already and wants to get baptized as soon as possible. They only thing is that he is from Haiti and speaks french. He does speak a little english though. So its like speaking to a 6 year old.
